We talk a lot about happiness, but we don’t often talk about joy. Sometimes we use both interchangeably but I believe there is a difference. Joy is distinct from happiness. I believe joy is ever-present. It is our nature to experience joy. We may not be aware of it but we are meant to live in joy.
Happiness, on the other side, is circumstantial. It is a state that comes and goes. Happiness is delightful in the moment, but inevitably fleeting. Happiness is always conditioned on a specific circumstance.
Lets talk about how we can access that joy that lies hidden beneath more often. We all have it accessible to us, no matter how challenging our circumstances may be. We can always find joy if we try.
