When we talk about exercise, we also need to talk about rest. I have a hard time taking rest, but when I do, I always discover how much I needed that day. Oftentimes its a day where I get other chores done, but it feels good to have that extra time.
We often feel guilty for taking a day off – from work, from helping others, from our sports. But we need to remind ourselves that rest can improve our outputs more than if we kept going, risking stress, burnout and injury.
