When it comes to the things we love to do, we often wait on others to go along. And when they are not available, we hesitate, we are scared, and we stay home. When your friends don’t have time, or when you don’t have the right people to something with that you want to do, then do it alone. Take a chance and go. You are guaranteed to meet others eventually who have the same passion as you and will accompany you on your journey.
Inspired by my recent trip to Utah, were every day was a surprise, I realized that we need more adventure in our day-to-day lives. Our predictable routines and regular schedules remove the excitement that we often only notice when we are on vacation because everything is new. But there are small things we can do that add a little unknown to our days, and with that open the possibility of a different, maybe even a better outcome.

Anger is a difficult emotion. But by making an effort to understand it better, we can improve from our often defensive response to a more compassionate one. Anger is usually the escalation of other emotions that we have tried to hide. By addressing those, we can often eliminate the angry outburst. Anger happens, but it needs to be addressed so it doesn’t repeat itself.
We made the decision to move forward, but something pulls us back. We are wavering, reconsidering, contemplating about going back. Because the past is known and the future is scary. But having to go through the decision again is much scarier. Trust it. Move forward. Once you decided to let go, don’t go back.
