When I first arrived in the US, I regarded small talk as a waste of time. Over the years, however, I have come to appreciate it more and more. In fact, there is a lot value in small talk. It provides an opportunity for us to come our of our shell and practice connecting with another person. Small talk is needed more than ever, in times when everyone just looks down at their phones instead of the other person’s eyes. Let do more small talk!
