Habituation is the process by which habits are formed. Habits can be helpful when we struggle with certain behaviors. Making them a habit takes the guesswork and thinking out but it takes time. Repetition is key.

Habituating those things that come hard to us – kindness, self-discipline, and patience, for example – can make it easier to accomplish not only our goals, but also help change our identity. Because now we can become the person we really want to be.
