For most of my life I really didn’t know what it takes to make friends. This left me with only a few loyal friends from many years ago, many of which have take paths very different from mine. Somehow I believed friends just arrive. They cross our paths and we feel magically connected with them on all levels. So wrong.
Only when I opened myself up to people that didn’t appear to have much in common with me at all is when I discovered that friendship can be established with the people you least expect it.
