QFY 381: Impermanence

The meaning of impermanence is that nothing last forever, it constantly changes. When I reflected on it, I noticed that this applies to all aspects of our life.

When unexpected events occur is often when we realize the power impermanence has over our lives. They throw us off balance and make us question our entire existence. Our dwellings, the people in our life, our possessions – its comforting to know they are there. We rely on them and they give us a sense of safety.

But do they really? Or are they just holding us back from living live more consciously and in the present?
