Inspired by the book Essentialism, I have reconnected with the magic word Action. Action, no matter how tiny, will get us out of any rut. While the world is in a state of confusion and we feel helpless and floating from one day into the next without direction, we can still work towards our goals. Do the minimal viable thing you know will make a difference. It may not get you to your goal tomorrow, but it will pave the path to get there eventually.

It may feel as though we are a victim in this current pandemic because so much is out of our hands. Stuck at home, all we can do is worry and wait. The Stoics would disagree. Worry is an unproductive emotion that only hinders how we show up for ourselves and others every day. Lets go over some of the ancient Stoic advise and apply it. We can control more than we think. 

Vision 2020: What do you see – Quest For You 557

Our vision has become very blurry. We had goals, we had resolutions, we had plans. And now? Everything is on hold.

This is a pause. It does not mean everything is lost. But it may look different than we thought.

Now is the time to reflect, to meditate, to become still and to clear our vision so we can see better again.

2020 is a year of clear vision – but it will require more effort to see.

We are all in this together – Quest For You 551

An unscripted episode during an unscripted time. An unprecedented time, a difficult time. And yet, I still want to bring you a few thoughts that I am encouraging you to write out. In this strange time I don’t find it so easy to just read or learn a language, as so many people now recommend. Its normal to be worried. What helps me is to write my worries out, and then give them a time limit each day. And then, I try to shine, in whatever way I can. The connection with others is critical now that we are more physically isolated than ever before.

After over 500 episodes released, its time to talk about my vision. What is Quest For You, some of you may wonder. 

Quest For You is a journey to yourself. It involves getting to know yourself, from the inside out. Who are you? What makes you tick? What do you like? What do you dream about? 

During the course of our lives, we have tuned our inner voice out and follow the beat of the outside drum – family advice, marketing and advertising, what others do, media, what looks good, sounds good, seems profitable. We rarely tune inward to see who we are, and what we want.

Quest For You is that journey and I want to invite you to walk with me. I see it as consisting of 4 stages, which I cover in this episode. Let’s get back to who we are. Lets learn to access our inner guidance. Lets work on becoming the person we really want to be.

I am worthy – QFY 528

Sometimes we don’t feel worthy in certain areas of our life. This often means that there is a gap between what we want and what we are getting. This is a sign that we need to take action and speak up. Worthiness doesn’t come magically by telling ourselves we deserve it. We actually have to do something about it. 

The power of people – QFY 527

When you find people that have the same aspirations as you, your chance of reaching your goals and dreams is much higher than attempting it alone. Often our close friends are not the ones that support us with our wild ideas. We have to make the bold move and go out there and meet those people.

Committing and sacrificing go hand in hand. To undertake something seriously and meaningful, we have to give up other things in return. In this episode, we will discover that sacrifice is liberating. Giving up the non-essential means clearing the path for the most important things in your life. This frees up your mind from having to make to many decision.

Believe life is predetermined and unchangeable or do you trust that you can make whatever you wish out of life Success is not everything. You can easily obtain it and yet, still feel empty. We gain significance when we take our success into the world and share it with others.

How do you spend your days? Do you mostly consume or do you also create? I believe we are all meant to create – some with their body, others with their brains and their mind. We all are endowed with gifts – things we are good at, that come easier to us, that we are passionate about. Let’s start utilizing what we’ve got and let’s create more.
